Seifertova, which became a bestseller and received a number of awards
(Magnesia litera as the best children’s book of 2003, Zlata stuha
/Golden ribbon/ as the best educational children’s book, Zlata pecet
/Golden seal/ for the best polygraphic work).
History of the Brave Czech Nation and a Few Insignificant World
Events is a 9 metre long fold-out book, in fact, a scenery which
serves as a backdrop to historical events ranging from the prehistoric
age to the present.
giant book started its journey at the National Museum in Prague,
then moved on to Ceska Lipa, the bookfair in Prague and Dvur Kralovy.
Parts were displayed at international bookfairs in Bologna, Luxemburg,
Frankfurt, and Bratislava.
November 2005 the book will be on display in Kutna Hora and starting
March 2006 the venue will be Cesky Sternberk castle.
